Petra Stone started as a family-owned operation, formerly known as Marblex, and that legacy lives on in our team and expertise.

We are passionate about stone and providing a bespoke service to our clients. Every piece of stone has a story and we love to blend that into the design vision.

With over 30 years of experience in the stone industry, our design consultants collaborate well with all experts involved in the design process to help bring unmatched results. Commissioned work includes interiors, exteriors, furnishings, and architectural elements such as cladding, facades, structures and more. Commercial developers

Majority of our custom work is in residential homes, but we also work with developers and their design teams to provide products and services for retail, multifamily and hotels in the DC metro area.

We have partnered with LXRY in Washington, DC to provide full-service solutions to our clients across the DMV and beyond. LXRY is design-driven boutique specializing in European design using a curated collection of Italian cabinetry and furnishings. Part of LXRY’s bespoke service is suggesting selections for stone, appliances, lighting and plumbing that all work together to complement the cabinetry in the space. Their goal is to provide sophisticated and cohesive design in the most important living areas with premium products and customer service. Petra Stone provisions masterful knowledge and oversight of stone fabrication and installation services that are designed by the LXRY team to ensure superior execution.

LXRY’s flagship studio & showroom is located in the Glover Park neighborhood off Wisconsin Avenue. Their services and cabinetry lines are also available at the Petra Stone showroom in Fairfax, VA by appointment. As partners, we work together to provide products and services to our clients from the showroom location that’s most convenient for them.
